TIMOTHY F. MEEHAN

retired, founding partner of MacLean Meehan & Rice LLC.

Over the last 20 years, Tim has had a seat at the table in many of the most timely and challenging issues facing Vermont. He specializes in business management, negotiation, and legislative and government relations.

Mr. Meehan grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts, graduated from Keith Academy and attended Saint Anselm’s College in Manchester, N.H., where he majored in philosophy. An honors student, he received his B.A. and went on to complete an additional three years of theological studies. Tim’s accomplished career includes work as Legislative Assistant to the late Honorable Thomas P. “Tip” O’Neill, Jr., of Massachusetts, who was then Majority Leader in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Tim has worked on health care issues for more than thirty years and has been a steadfast advocate for sensible reforms that address cost drivers in the delivery system and improve the health of Vermonters.

Tim retired from MMR in 2013 to spend more time with his family. His mark on MMR and the State of Vermont however, is permanent. He maintains a role as Advisor to MMR leadership, because we just couldn’t let him off the hook that easy.
